My life-long friend was sick of paying up to twenty pounds just for a single tee-shirt (even if they do happen to have really cool designs on them) and so he recently began to make his own using different fabric paint and stencils. When he showed up at my recent birthday party wearing a tee-shirt with “K?” emblazoned on the front of it, I was impressed to find out that the garment was not shop bought – it didn’t look cheap at all! Several cycles through the washing machine later and his design hasn’t faded in the slightest either. I find the to be rare usually in regards to fabric paint.
I have decided to follow suit and I have just ordered several plain white tee-shirts, a craft knife, stencil cardboard and loads of the specialist paint using one of my mother’s credit cards, with her permission. I really can’t wait to begin getting crafty with my new do it yourself fashion tools!
